Grateful for the Small Things (and the Big Ones Too)

Today I’m sitting with a lot of gratitude — not for flashy wins or big milestones, but for the people closest to me who quietly amaze me every single day.

Ed’s home from college. He’s working full time, hitting the gym, keeping up with friends, and somehow still has time to be the big-hearted, grounded guy I’m proud to call my son.
Bella is out in the world making a difference — full-time as a medical assistant, volunteering as an EMS responder, and preparing to take that next massive step toward
med school. She’s fierce, focused, and full of compassion.
And Elisabeth… man. My wife is a force of nature. She’s continuing her education, running Common Threads — a purpose-driven, ethical clothing line — and writing not one, but two to three books. She’s a dreamer, a doer, and the reason I even thought to chase this path.
Sometimes I feel like I’m doing everything around here. I pick up the slack at home, carry the weight where I can. But when I stop and look around… I’m in awe.
I’m surrounded by brilliance, drive, and people who show up every single day — not just for the world, but for each other.
That’s what I’m grateful for.
The small things.
And the big ones too.
